The beach
Macar Gran is a pebble area halfway between Cala Tirant and the Far de Cavalleria. Uncomfortable place for bathers as it has no or very little sand. Rocky and dangerous seabed, as sea rocks protrude in some areas
Notes
Pebble beach passing by Camí de Cavalls. There is a guardrail on the same path as there is a precipice very close by. Little or no frequented place. There are no natural shadows. Very limited fishing as it is a Marine Reserve.

How to get there
- 1It's Mercadal
Enter the town from Mercadal and follow the signs to the Lighthouse of Cavalleria.
- 2Cavalry Lighthouse
There is no loss. We must continue the directions to the lighthouse as we will be a few meters before we arrive. We will continue for several kilometers until we reach a closed metal gate.
- 3to park
Park before going over the access gate to Far de Cavalleria and start our itinerary walking backwards, looking for the beginning of the Camí de Cavalls heading East just 200 meters back.
- 4Horse path
We will find the Camí de Cavalls on our left, first we will pass along the ruins of an ancient Roman city, then we will continue passing Platja d'en Patet and following the Camí de Cavalls we will pass several rocky swimming areas until we reach the Macar Gran, with a railing on one side. It's about 30 minutes from the parking lot.
